The cabin is located in the town of Elliston, about 30 miles west of Helena. This section of southwest Montana is often called Goldwest. The Goldwest area of Montana is displayed on the map to the left.
If traveling from out of state, your best bet is to fly into the Helena airport. You would then drive west on Interstate 12 towards the town of Elliston. You will stay on this road for about 20 miles through the McDonald Pass. From here, you take mountain route 227, and it is 12 miles directly to our cabin. Very detailed driving directions will be mailed to you at the time of rental.
Elliston is a small community between Helena and Deer Lodge. It is located in Powell County, which is home to about 7500 residents. The above photo shows the local post office, general store and watering hole.
